I'm a longtime journalist and PNW mom-of-two who shares pictures, tips, and stories about places to take kids in the Greater Seattle Area. My content now features historical fun facts about the areas we visit in and around Gig Harbor, Washington.From 2005 to 2015, I wrote for traditional print newspapers. In 2017, I launched the blog Two In Tow & On The Go, and it's been a cool example of journalism's ability to transform and adapt - no matter the platform. My Two In Tow content has informed and entertained readers on my website, in community print magazines and in the microblogging world of social media. In the last year, it's come full circle with a twice-a-month news column about places to take kids on GigHarborNow.org, a community-supported online newspaper operating as a nonprofit.Through these outlets, my writing style brings a fresh perspective to the first-person narrative. I work to blend mom humor and reliability with my lifetime love of helpful, utility journalism in a (hopefully) seamless technique. This approach helps readers navigate new destinations and revisit old favorites in new ways. It also allows me to hang out with my kids while creating something I love! And that is priceless.
