Actively pursuing Masters’ Degree in Human Resource Development. HRD is a process used to develop talent and improve the learning and performance of individuals and organizations to enhance their competence, effectiveness, and change. My studies in HRD have allowed me to collaborate with established organizations providing real-world solutions utilizing theoretical knowledge learned in the classroom. • Collaborated, designed, implemented, delivered, and evaluated a training program for a consulting firm to enhance employee emotional intelligence, which created a learning environment where employees felt comfortable giving and receiving feedback and openly discussing their concerns through role-playing involving emotional intelligence scenarios.• Managed initial interview and data collection for the needs assessment analysis for team project which helped identify the organization’s training needs, the employees’ adult learning styles, and behaviors to design a seamless program initiative.• Produced and presented a video on YouTube establishing culturally competent HRD practices where I integrated literature and relevant theories into a case study describing how training works in the real world. My findings contributed to the improvement of the organization’s onboarding process in providing materials that reflect cultural diversity.

As Senior Team Leader, many of my responsibilities included directing day-to-day operations with key-holder responsibilities for 150+ employees.• Partnered with Human Resources in the training and development of 50+ new associates and personally managed departmental scheduling, coaching, counseling, and conflict resolution for a team of 20 sales associates and leaders.• Spearheaded and implemented new training initiatives that identified the need for team cohesion and inclusion applications and created an ongoing learning environment that increased retention and sales by 5% compared to the prior year’s sales. • Actively contributed to the hiring process through recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and HR compliance policy and procedure training that led to higher employee engagement and positive formative feedback, which resulted in an 80% improvement in the reduction of new hire turnovers and the retention of tenured employees compared to the previous year. • Mentored and advised a team of 10 sales associates responsible for $40,000+ annual sales in the company pipeline for promotion and development – under my direction, 3 out of the ten employees were promoted to Team Leaders, and 7 out of ten were cross-trained, which balanced employee workload which led to higher employee satisfaction and retention.
