Oversight of program that was committed to broadening participation in the conference and to the engagement of individuals from around the globe, in groups that traditionally have been underrepresented in high performance computing or at the SC Conference series, such as African-Americans, Hispanics, Native Americans, Alaska Natives, Native Hawaiians, Pacific Islanders, the physically challenged and women. The Broader Engagement (BE) Program strived to identify and involve those individuals from underrepresented communities who have an interest in high performance computing.
