The SIEDC is the lead advocate for economic development of Staten Island's economy. As VP of Economic Development, I overseeing all planning, policy, neighborhood development, and business assistance programs for the borough of Staten Island, NY. This includes but not limited to major capital projects to grassroots commercial revitalization efforts. Additional roles undertaken by the position includes:- Executive Director, New Dorp Business Improvement District. Charged with overseeing BID services to the New Dorp Business District (Sanitation, Beautification, Promotions and Marketing)- Executive Director, West Shore Business Improvement District. Charged with overseeing BID services to the West Shore Business District. (Infrastructure Maintenance)- Executive Director, Staten Island Community Development Fund (SICDF). Spearheaded the development of Staten Island's first Community Development Financial Institution CDFI for the purpose of providing alternative financing opportunities to small businesses located in under-served, under-banked communities throughout Staten Island.

Partnered with Friedman Associates, the largest Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) consulting firm of senior-level industry professionals to assist in building the financial and intellectual capacity of nonprofit lenders, (existing and emerging CDFI certified entities) by providing insight and subject-matter expertise in facilitating CDFI Fund grant applications and technical assistance for FA, TA, NACA, CMF, and NMTC.

Provided Outreach and Strategy advice to the staff at the Columbia Aging Center for the AGE SMART Employer Awards. The advise includes but not limited to effective utilization of resources, sensible marketing techniques, efficient management of data to include interviews and surveys, creative phased planning, and consensus-building.Work also includes identifying and developing national partners and sponsors.The AGE SMART Employer Awards recognizes NYC Based businesses that attract and retain a mature workforce (age 50+).... making that workforce a "true" multi-generational workplace. Past awardees include Brooks Brothers, Pfizer, NYU Langone Medical Center, CBRE Real Estate Group, SilverCup Studios, National Grid, and Lee Spring.

Charge with the oversight of commercial revitalization programs and projects for three (3) business corridors in Southeast Queens (Laurelton, Rosedale, and Springfield Gardens). Actively sought and managed the implementation of "green solutions" to all projects with the aim of making the corridors sustainable. Managed public and private contracts emphasizing on economic development and workforce development. Provided small business development technical assistance to local merchants and startups. Acted as economic development advisor to local elected officials.Credited with changing the landscape of Merrick Blvd from a desolate commercial corridor to a thriving "one-stop shop" environment where resident no longer needed to leave their community for quality "goods and services".

Oversee the management and delivery of business and professional services for the local business communities within the Rockaway Peninsula.Successfully collaborated with state/city agencies in providing opportunities and incentive programs for local Industrial and Manufacturing businesses. Administered the New York State Empire Zone Program which included facilitating the development of Arvene-By-The-Sea, an award winning spectacular oceanfront community consisting of 2,300 beautiful homes, commercial retail center, and recreational facilities on 127 acres along the Atlantic ocean in the Rockaways.Assist in providing "best practices" for nonprofit facility development to include early site control and equitable financing structure. Organized and facilitated a strong merchant association (Rockaway East Merchants Association).Provided technical/finance assistance, business development workshops, and marketing events to over 350 local small businesses, resulting in increased job opportunities for the residents of the Rockaways. Market and manage public incentives programs to attract businesses looking to relocate to the Rockaway Peninsula.

Charge with the overall management and operations of a multi-million dollar large-scale affordable and senior housing portfolio in the neighborhoods of Bushwick, Brooklyn and Ridgewood, Queens.Managed various affordable housing development programs specifically in the areas of LIHTC tax-credits, Section 8 subsidies, HUD 202s.Responsible for the supervision of a large housing management team employing over 40 staff and contract personnel. Credited for successfully turning around a failing non-performing at-risk housing program to a thriving compliant real estate portfolio.Oversee the social service component included within the HUD 202 properties. Responsible for planning operations and management of caseworkers, MSWs, and vendors.

Facilitated high-level security conferences and air-ground transportation requirements to visiting state dignitaries. Reviewed and edited CFC Warfare Plan documents as directed by HQ UNC C4 logistic taskings.Assigned as NEO Officer (Non-Combat Evacuation Officer) to assist with organizing and implementing strategic plans to evacuate and house the civilian population of Seoul Korea in times of war crisis. Assigned special duty to ASF Crisis Response Force Military Police San Diego.
