Based on a series of stories I wrote about my real Great Aunt Lizzie, I worked with the inimitable team at Plum Films in Edinburgh - who developed and realised the concept into the current TV series - for CBeebies.Along the way, Plum Films harnessed and led and incredibly talented team to bring two series to air, which included multi-Oscar winner Leslie Dilley (Star Wars / Raiders of Lost Ark...). BAFTA award winning actress Gemma Jones, who played Great Aunt Lizzie - and to wrap the 45 episodes, The Prague Philharmonic Orchestra recorded an original score for the programmes..The series is now being enjoyed beyond the UK in parts of Europe and as far a field as Australia.Great Aunt Lizzie WOULD be pleased.
