Business (Sales) Manager, GovernmentSpark New Zealand Jan 2015 - Oct 2017Wellington & Wairarapa, New ZealandI had responsibility for the sale and delivery of over 100 Million Dollars annually of services and products to Central Government entities. In an industry where annual revenues are in decline I consistently delivered a 15% increase Year on Year at increased % margins. I and my team drove customer satisfaction across 40 customers, including large government agencies, to a Net Promoter Score (NPS) of 8.8. In November 2016 my team engaged with six agencies representing 3,500 staff members whose locations were deemed non habitable following the Kaikoura Earthquake. Within a short time and with a huge amount of effort we had everyone operational in new locations. I built, developed and led a team of dedicated client managers who contributed and shared in my successes. That team won almost 70% of all TaaS (Telecommunications as a Service) subscriptions lodged with the Dept of Internal Affairs during 2016/2017. -

I Immediately engaged with all stakeholders to understand, document and present the issues to confirm my observations. I then developed an Engagement Model focused on Relationship, Commercial Considerations, Service Delivery, Team Development etc and ensured it had buy-in from both Spark and Customer senior management.Over the course of 9 months and with a lot of support the relationship improved significantly to the extent that no further business was lost and Spark was awarded over $20M of new and renewed contracts. Service levels and customer satisfaction improved dramatically and I handed over to a team member two successful accounts. In my next role as a Business Manager I had both these customers in my territory for the next three years during which time revenues, margins and satisfaction continued to climb. -
