With everything running smoothly and a successful expansion into Lancashire in the Page Personnel brand going well, I moved to support the Customer Services & Contact Centre team a little more and focused on building our business development and market outreach towards more senior candidates and clients with more specific requirements.I remain supporting the Finance & Financial Services team still, but have a wider patch to operate in and develop now.

With the Financial Services function well underway and two consultants settled in and working on it full-time, I suddenly had a lot more space to help out other members of the team. While still working mostly on Financial Services, I shifted some of my focus over to the Finance and Business Support teams, working with a wider variety of roles.This opened up the possibility for me to work on a number of different roles and free up more time for the general team. This was a lot of various accountancy roles to begin with.I completed a qualification in Resourcing after moving into this wider team and am looking at possibly expanding out into marketing in the future.

When Page Personnel opened up their first Financial Services team, I leapt at the opportunity to get involved, finding myself once again on a team of just myself and one other experienced colleague in the office.This was a transition for the both of us as we were both slightly unfamiliar at first with the differences between the roles we'd previously been working, but after some research and time spent talking with candidates and clients, we were eager to get going. While my colleague was finishing off his old desk, I carried out some market research to see where our targets should be. I began laying the groundwork for my own candidate pool and would flag up clients where possible. We were fully prepared to start supporting candidates in their job search at this point. Since we started, I've helped to fill a number of vacancies and have refined a hot-list of amazing candidates looking for their next opportunity.I was so excited to see where this role could take me, and committed myself to absorbing all the training provided and underwent as much personal development as was on offer.

I was invited to return to the business as a fully fledged Recruitment Resourcer, and would assist in sourcing various roles across different disciplines. I was essentially a resource for the team to use for a variety of tasks and purposes, and I really enjoyed working with a different type of industry every day.Things fell into place that resulted in me joining the newly established Customer Service & Contact Centre team. This meant I was supporting a number of roles and projects related to call centres as the function was being formed. Due to the success of our small team of two in Liverpool, we massively expanded this business function out to a number of other offices in the region. This took off due to the demand for specialist recruiters in this market and it is one of our best performing now, still driving major growth in the business. During my time in this role I worked on a number of projects across Liverpool and the Northwest in general, filling a number of vacancies and completing more time-consuming admin tasks. I worked closely with temp candidates while taking over some of my colleague's timesheet and daybook management, ensuring that candidates would submit their sheets weekly and raising or resolving any other issues. I managed to secure extra revenue for the business during this time by catching some unscrupulous clients out when it came to avoiding temp to perm conversion fees or "secret" extensions!I'm really proud to have had some small part of the conception of this team and appreciate the amazing opportunity that this was for me.

I was brought into Page Personnel during a system migration - PRS > Salesforce Lightning - to make sure that data was being properly transferred and processed. As I was working with updating candidate information anyway, it wasn't long before I began to perform various sourcing and admin activities related to recruitment on behalf of the team. From this point, I was being trained up to work with and manage candidates and had the opportunity to shadow my colleagues during their calls and interviews which was great for developing practical knowledge and skills.This role came to an end when the offices closed down due to COVID. As many redundancies were being made and office operations wound down, I wasn't needed for the time being. There was no justification for keeping me on when more senior staff were being let go, but this was an amicable parting.
