His areas of expertise are in operations research, statistics, and analytic software design. He is specialized in optimization, statistical/machine learning, and simulation. Tony has broad experience in formulating models and in developing robust mathematical algorithms for a variety of applications. Tony is a member of the Institute for Operations Research and Management Sciences (INFORMS) and a Roundtable member from 2001 -2013. He is an Edelman Laureate, a 1989 Franz Edelman Finalist, and won the 1993 Franz Edelman Competition, the prestigious International Management Science Achievement Award. His contributions to operations research practice at AT&T was one of the factors in AT&T’s winning of the 1994 ORSA Prize.
