In this role, I led a group of engineers architecting and developing new features for our Rise 360 and rise.com products. Our stack was very heavy in Javascript, React, Redux, and Node with deep integration with AWS cloud services.

In my role as engineering manager, I led and mentored a team of full stack web developers responsible for building and maintaining Articulate's Rise authoring product. In this role I was also the lead architect of several large projects which added new features to Rise and integrated content from a third party partner, the Next Big Idea Club. These projects were heavy in Javascript, React, Node, Elixir, Phoenix, and AWS

In my role as senior software engineer, I led the architecture and development of many large projects and mentored other developers along the way. In this role I focused on front and back end web technologies, including React, Redux, Node, Postgres, Elixir, & Phoenix. I also built and maintained integrations with many AWS and other third party services.- Designed & implemented numerous features for Articulate's Rise authoring experience which utilize React & Redux on the frontend and Node, Postgres, and Redis on the back end.- Designed & implemented a major project to add business content to our Rise 360 and rise.com products, including a React web application for internal usage by our content team for managing video & course content, a React component NPM package providing a shared content browsing UI across our Rise 360 & rise.com products, & an Elixir/Phoenix backend with a Postgres database and REST API for managing and importing business content.- Led a major refactor of our React frontend integration with Okta auth

As a native Mac & iOS developer, I participated in the development of native iOS & Mac apps.- Worked with a team of two other developers to build an iPad application for creating presentations- Worked with a team of four other developers to build a native Mac screen recording application- Worked with a large team of other developers to build a native Mac version of Articulate's flagship desktop authoring software, Storyline. I led the architecture of several complex features on this project.

Moxie Labs was a partnership formed to produce Friday Night Rivals, a high school football application available on iPhone, iPad and Android. Together a partner and I grew this application to support well over 250,000 users while operating under a multi-year licensing agreement with Fox Sports Southwest under the Fox Sports Southwest Football Friday brand. We exited this venture with a private sell in 2019.In this partnership, I focused on writing and maintaining the native client apps (Objective-C & Swift on iOS and Java on Android), including integration with numerous third party SDKs.
