I specialise in company valuation and the valuation of intangible assets for commercial and financial reporting purposes as well as relationship property valuations, the assessment of economic damages, forensic accounting and other financial investigations. I also provide expert witness services in these areas and have been involved in a number of commercial and relationship property litigation cases.I have nineteen years’ experience in valuation, investment banking and financial investigation roles. Prior to joining Lyne Davis Opinion I was a corporate finance partner at Grant Thornton New Zealand, I worked at Frankham Lyne, a specialist valuation and litigation support practice, for five years before it merged with Grant Thornton in 2005. I have publicly presented on numerous occasions on the valuation of businesses, shares and intangible assets. I have co-presented several courses on valuation, both locally and nationally, on behalf of the New Zealand Institute of Chartered Accountants and now Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand as part of its continuing education program for members.I was lead partner on the Grant Thornton Aged Residential Care Service Review (2010), a significant review of the aged care sector that addressed the cost of service provision, projected demand and supply to 2026, and future models of care in the sector. The review also included a costing survey of operators in the sector that had the highest provider participation rate of any comparable international study.
