I started with Armstrong Downes in June 2003 as a site manager working on the extension and refurbishment of the Stokeswood Rest Home.I was soon promoted to Project Manager. A couple of the major projects I have completed are: Boulcott Hospital and specialist Centre. This project involved the construction of a new 2 storey Specialist Centre. The ground floor fit out was for Pacific Radiology. Their fit out included building numerous xray rooms and the installation of CT Scanners and a MRI machine. Other works completed at Boulcott were an alteration and extension around the existing operating theatres for the new out patients area, decontamination and sterile areas with the installation of new autoclaves.Another significant project I have been PM on was the construction of the Harvey Norman store in Lower Hutt. This $30m, 3 level building with a footprint of 7000m2 used just under 9000m3 of concrete in it's construction. It's atrium has 2 steel trusses that clear span over 53m.I am now one of two company Directors. I look after Customer relationships, Business development, and the Construction side of the business. I work closely with the site teams, assisting with programming and buildability along with mentoring to help others grow in the company.

I was the sole. on site manager on a varied number of projects.The majority of my time with Arrow was working on health projects at Lower Hutt DHB including:The award winning Te Whare Ahuru building. An1800m2 new mental health unit.Strip-out and full refurbishment of levels 3, 4, 5 & 6 of the Heretanga Building that included Paediatrics, General Medical, Orthopaedics, Cardiology and Rheumatology.In other areas of the hospital I managed the Endoscopy suite, Ear Nose Throat including new sound rooms, out patients area, community heath and the conversion of the old operating theatres into a learning centre.Other projects outside of health were a large freezer and cool store in Palmerston North, Exterior restoration of the Embassy picture theatre in Wellington and the building of the award winning Kapiti Police Station to name a few.

Self employed carpenter. Working on all building and landscaping including decks, fences, renovations, additions, and new house construction. We were the main installer of pre finished timber floors for Jacobson's flooring in Wellington. This included spring loaded gymnasium floors at Sacred Heart College Lower Hutt, Hutt International Boys School Trentham and also the Community Hall in Orewa .

Jeeves and Edhouse were a small team of 4, well known for building high quality executive town houses in Lower Hutt. We completed all aspects of the build from install the reinforcing, to constructing and spray painting the kitchen units and everything else in between.

W.J Friend had a large pre nail frame and truss factory in Gracefield as well as a gang of guys that built houses.
