I am an experienced design leader with a professional background in architecture and brand design within the wider creative sector. I have significant experience in leading creative teams, managing international projects, and implementing operational plans ensuring that quality assurance and enhancement processes underpin the effectiveness of our work. I am currently Managing Director at Graphical House having previously established my own design studio in 1999. Graphical House is a brand and design consultancy. We create wholehearted and exquisite brand experiences that people connect with. Our work is as robustly thought through as it is beautifully executed. We make an impact where design matters.Focussing on premium brands for the design-savvy – we communicate directly and purposefully. Our meticulous approach is underpinned by intelligent thought and creative excellence, delivering clarity and impact.I have taught at the University of Strathclyde and the University of the West of Scotland and collaborated in numerous international exhibitions including the Scottish contribution to the Venice Biennale on 3 separate occasions. I was a founding member and director of Glasgow Letters on Architecture and Space (GLAS), a design cooperative based in the city, committed to promoting access to design and challenging forms of social and spatial segregation and exclusion. In 2004 GLAS won the inaugural National Achievement Award for Architecture in recognition of its contribution to the architecture community in Scotland.
