Brogan Group, a specialist in access systems has acquired Construction Access Systems Ltd (CAS), enhancing its operational capabilities, effectively boosting its operational prowess in high-rise building projects. I, the founding director of CAS, have joined the Brogan Group in an international sales capacity.

Construction Access Systems Ltd offers a modified and improved design of Common Tower system, which is available in various sizes depending upon the space available on site and the type, size and quantity of hoists to be used. This will allow developers and construction companies a choice on who they can use to supply their Common Tower & hoisting requirements. The Directors of the Company each have over eighteen years experience of marketing, design development and on site operations with the Common Tower System. The new design is a major improvement over the existing available system, is more robust, the components are easier to handle and install, has less bracing and can be installed to a greater height. We have developed an integrated staircase for our Common Tower system which utilises most of Common Tower standard components. Our Temporary Works Design expertise is in the design and construction phases of building and civil engineering projects, while our speciality is the design of temporary structures used during construction. Temporary works design and checking forms the core of our engineering business. We have experience of a very wide range of temporary structures including heavy false-works, cofferdams, access platforms, jump form and slip form structures and lifting equipment. As well as running the mechanical plant rental side of the business I developed a Portakabin market in the area which grew to 100 units.Expanding the remit of the business by introducing an event hire side, with the rental of Portakabins, temporary fencing, generators, forklifts etc for events held by Cambridgeshire City Council such as The Cambridge Folk Festival and providing equipment for the May Balls for the Cambridge Universities and Colleges.

I was responsible for developing and growing a tower crane and hoist rental market in the South West and the Midlands. My other responsibilities included the sale of Mobile Elevated Work Platforms, such as Genie Lift and Nifty Lift platforms. Developed a market for Tower Cranes and Hoists in the area during very challenging economic times.Sold Genie Lift Platforms to British Airways at Heathrow and Gatwick for the maintenance of aircraft.
