I believe that work should be enjoyable and inspiring for everyone involved.Currently, I serve as the State Manager for the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD), leading and managing operations in the Australian Capital Territory (ACT). My main focus is on member services, stakeholder engagement, governance education, events and regulatory compliance. I ensure that we deliver top-notch programs and services that support the AICD's mission and objectives.I'm also proud and honoured to be the ACT President and National Director of the Australian India Business Council and Board Director of the Canberra Business Chamber.My career journey includes NFP, corporate, legal, education, sporting, and commercial property sectors. This diverse experience has given me a unique skill set in project management, team leadership, and strategic planning. I've successfully developed and overseen major projects, managed budgets, and formed fruitful partnerships that have helped organisations achieve their goals.I'm admitted to both the High Court of Australia and the ACT Supreme Court as a Barrister and Solicitor and have a strong educational background, including a Master of Laws (Applied Law) with a major in Family Dispute Resolution Practice, and am registered with the Attorney Generals's Department in that capacity., I also hold a Juris Doctor, a Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice, and am a Nationally Accredited Mediator. As you will note, Law and dispute resolution are areas I'm well-versed in. Additionally I'm qualified as secondary school teacher and am an experienced leader in sports administration at State and National levels with previous roles including CEO of the Tasmanian Cricket Association, CEO of Basketball ACT, GM of the ACTAFL, GM of Netball NSW, GM of the Canberra Cavalry and NBDM of the National Rugby League. My additional post-graduate qualifications in business management reflect my commitment to ongoing professional development and lifelong learning.
