About Tony Waters

In these times I specialise in helping SME companies to sell more by understanding their customer segmentation, value propositions and sales processes. This can be achieved through reviews of existing operations and video links. I also advise business leaders using my extensive experience of managing manufacturing companies through their various challenges including recruitment, strategy creation and delivery of "the promise" to customers. I am a wall to bounce ideas off of and not afraid to politely critique.A speciality is helping find the right metaphors and stories to explain business and processes, both internally and to customers. The right measurements are vital but so are the right people, effectively led and motivated. I have expertise in analysing spreadsheets, spotting anomalies and probing at weaknesses. Received awards for operational improvements and competitiveness.✔ Shortly after joining Solo Cup Europe, retained and secured a new multi-year contract with a global coffee chain by researching the competition, uncovering the customer’s needs to prepare strategic plans and visiting global headquarters in the US to personally meet with stakeholders. ✔ Re-equipped the manufacturing base and recruited dedicated Service / QA Specialists to meet the client's needs. Ultimately captured a £10m+ contract with exclusivity for a decade.✔ Built a £6m major growth platform with a leading global fast food chain after recruiting a new Sales team to grow continental business.

I also provided leadership for 10 direct reports spanning Finance, Operations and Sales. ✔ Generated £2m by coordinating lucrative licensing arrangements with global branded healthcare customers.✔ Expanded sales by 30% in the US, Asia and Europe by building a strong licensing network and obtaining long-term contracts with leading supermarket chains. ✔ Improved OTIF from 60% to 95% through the implementation operational changes to overcome bottlenecks.✔ Saved £800k per annum by overhauling the group to simplify the management and operational structure.✔ Evaluated the framework for 3 Rexam companies to determine alignment with Rexam’s future business vision in order to sell the entities or formulate strategies to enhance performance.
