Self motivated, determined, dedicated & focused.All my life I’ve wanted to be a chef, it’s where I found my passion and at a very young age. Since I started working in my early teens till I was in my late 20’s I’ve not only cooked but help manage some popular establishments growing up in southwestern Ontario. From cooking in 20 seat establishments to managing kitchens in 70+ seat restaurants to menu planning for events with up to 300+ people. This is where I first learned how to be a team player and that paying attention to details do matter, especially the smallest ones. In the late 90’s I moved on to something completely different, I now had a family and providing for them was my main driven goal. I put my career in the restaurant industry aside and moved forward with a career in steel. Over the last 2 decades, I’ve worked in every aspect of the steel making process from melting raw steel through finished product and into shipping.Having been in the steel industry for over 20 years and out of all the companies I have been involved with, the steel industry so far has been my favorite and working with molten metal has been the most personally rewarding so far. It was completely different from anything I’ve ever done, exciting, very challenging and extremely dangerous but taught me not only meticulous attention to detail, how to work efficiently and safely but also a better understanding of what it means to truly be a team player.
