I am an experienced, initiative-taking property and operations leader drawing upon over 30 years’ experience in real estate strategy, capital programs and property operations.     As a member of the department leadership team, I led the Property Management business unit in the provision of customer service and strategy (Business Partners), minor capital works (<$20M) project management (Estate Improvement) and Estate Management helpdesk (Customer Relations). I was responsible for driving major improvements and reforms to stakeholder service delivery, customer insights and the estate improvement capital program. I represented the department on a wide range of strategic programs supporting student and employee experience, academic research and industry partnerships significantly improving alignment and relationships between customer groups and the Estate Management service.✯ Revised the annual capital works planning and budget process to ensure projects were more appropriately aligned to the University’s strategic goals, maximising resources such as budget, space utilisation, student/employee experience and research benefits. ✯ Successfully led the approval, planning, procurement, delivery and post occupancy evaluation on a wide range of workplace and academic refurbishment and adaptation programs to an annual budget of approximately $80M. Individual projects ranged from $10M to $250k.✯ Restructured elements of the team to improve service delivery and effectiveness resulting in reduced operational expenses of approximately $2M per annum in on-going people and core project costs, whilst significantly enhancing both customer and team member feedback.✯ Introduced and then delivered the first workspace projects to showcase new ways of working to the University professionals and academics driving improved quality of working environments whilst enhancing space utilisation.✯ Drove the compilation of first ever customer business profiles for Estate Management covering all 17 key stakeholder groups and embedded these as a key tool to enable strategic Estate Management planning going forward.
