As a founding directors of Digital Native UK I'm responsible for the technical direction of the organisation and developing a compelling curriculum using my industry knowledge and experience. My main focus has been adapting the current Digital / IT Apprenticeships to meet the demands of employers and supporting organisations using apprentices to deliver their digital vision.

Working at one of the most exciting companies in the UK. I was leading a team to deploy what will be an extensive deployment of SAP BW Powered by SAP HANA.The programme of work was massive, as were the opportunities make a difference to the culture of this organisation. My primary focus was to spread the word about the 'Art of the Possible and the transformation that Big Data, Business Intelligence and Analytics can provide.

As UK BIM CTO I am responsible for ensuring that the Capgemini BIM team are recognised as leading the market for Business Information Management solutions. This role requires the creation and promotion of market offerings and alliances to align innovative solutions to customer requirements. A major part of the role is collaborating with the Capgemini global network of CTO's bringing their knowledge and experience to the UK team. This has allowed the UK BIM team to consolidate their leading position in traditional markets such as Content Management, Master Data Management, Business Intelligence and grow a strong position in new markets such as High Performance Analytics. During this role I have built on my existing SAP knowledge and relationships, by building skills and relationships in, companies such as such as Autonomy, OpenText, QlikTech, Oracle, SAS, IBM Cognos, MarkAnalytics, MicroStrategy and neutrinoBI. I have also deepened my understanding of Capgemini solutions for Information Strategy, Enterprise Content Management, Master Data Management, Information Governance and Information Delivery through Business Intelligence.

Leading a team of Business Analytics consultants, delivering innovative solutions to large enterprises using a ranges of solutions including SAP HANA, SAP BusinessObjects, SAP BW.

I lead the Data and Analyticscapability at Bluefin Solutions. This is a responsible role as I have profit and loss responsibility for a team of consultants located in the UK, USA, South Africa and Malaysia. This wide ranging job covers everything from strategic consulting, pipeline generation and technical thought leadership to designing training and personal growth programmes for individual consultants.

As a senior analytics consultant and was responsible for delivering large complex descriptive analytics projects at a number of blue chip organisations.

Lead developer managing the delivery of work packages using an offshore model for a global confectionary manufacturer. I gained experience of working as part of a global team communicating with remote teams to deliver the solution.

As the technical team lead for the SAP support team based in Auckland, I provided support for customers SAP and Informix transaction and analytic systems.

As a senior developer I was responsible for the management and delivery of technical work packages for a wide range of customers. I often was used on short term ‘Lifeboat’ projects to rescue failing projects or solutions.

Aspect systems as an SAP VAR delivered innovative SAP solutions with an aggressive timescale, as the only developing consultant within the organisation I got a broad exposure to the complete range of SAP ERP modules and functions within an organisation.

My first role was as an ERP support consultant before I moved to work as an SAP developer for a remote team based of out the UK Solution Centre.

Providing telephone application support to MAC-PAC Andersen Consulting's ERP solution. This was written in RGP400 and ran on AS400's think green screens and blinking cursors. I learned a lot about customer service, answering calls and keeping track of tickets and SLA's.

Working on what was one of the biggest IT projects in the world burning £1m / day to deliver a functional spec that stood 6 feet tall that would align the IT systems of all the members of the HSBC group. My part in this mega project was to sit in a dark machine room and prove that we could fit a quart into a pint pot or in this case that we could run the latest version of OS2 on not the latest version of IBM 386's! This consisted of learning the dark arts of memory management, test script development and producing reports that had a lot of graphs and basically said it ain't going to happen.

Best job ever... Aged 19 teaching sailing, windsurfing, diving and water-skiing to school groups from the UK.A tough day was 18 hours on the beach including singing songs around the campfire late into the early morning. If only the pay and pension plan was better.

We built some of the best Flying 15's of the time, here I learned a lot about sanding, polishing and generally smoothing stuff down. I got to build in high tech resins woven glass and Kevlar but never got to test our claim that the hulls we built were bullet proof!
