Work for a mortgage loan servicer managing the portfolio of a large Hedge Fund. Directly manage a pipeline of 150 distressed mortgage cases.Cases are homeowners hit by the financial crisis, typically subprime or exotic mortgage loans that experienced severe devaluation or inability to pay back under their loan terms. They may have abandoned the home, declared bankruptcy or disappeared.It is my job to resolve these non performing mortgage loans by working with borrowers to liquidate or restructure their loans and cure severe delinquency. This includes locating lost borrowers, negotiating short sales or pay-offs; restructuring or modifying loans based on current Federal and internal programs and coordination with the Foreclosure Department to execute on security instruments.•My Responsibilities include negotiating with attorneys for borrowers or junior lien holders directly and in court or mediation hearings with borrowers. These cases are typically very complicated after years of delinquency and failed resolution efforts.
