Commercial Bid ManagerSema Group Apr 2011 - Jan 2012Appointed the Commercial Bid Manager for the business in 2011, I led a complete process restructure of our decision making process to Bid / No Bid, updating the Tender Bid Framework (How we responded) and the revamping of our layout/design of our tender bids. This review and restructure of the tender process was actioned and deployed back within the business within a one month period. Due to the process efficiencies created, one and a half head counts were able to be redirected onto other important business tasks at SEMA.A notable development in this space was my construction of an Online Bid / No Bid Questionnaire which measured the opportunity against a number of specific criteria. The results posted from this questionnaire created an opportunity and risk profile that was assessed objectively by the business Directors.Acting as the Commercial Bid Manager for the business, I further developed a number of key commercial calculators (XLS) to qualify our tender bid price for submission. These calculators enabled business Directors the ability to quickly and easily adjust margins and effort profiles to achieve the desired result.Leading a new pricing strategy in the business, I developed a price bundling calculator that enabled all business services to be profiled as a complete job and then cast back to a per unit price (in either an itemised or single rate). This was a first for the SEMA business with this pricing strategy, which has been highly successful since rolled out in November 2011.o The price bundling calculator factored the complex pricing variables of the High Speed Continuous Colour printer for SEMA (Impika Print Technology - FXA)o Program Manager for large scale Government Imaging Projects -

An internal sales version of the product was also designed for deployment.o Program Manager for large scale Government Imaging ProjectsAs the Product Manager, I led, managed and deployed the first electronic Product and Services catalogue for the business. This catalogue was deployed nationally in 2011 and was developed within 3 months. -

SEMA further won the following year’s ballot imaging project for the Melbourne City election $500,000 in 2009 due to our quality outcomes produced for ACT.Tender lead and solution design with commercial modelling constructed for an $8Million tender win for SEMA with the Department of Parliamentary Services (DPS) in Canberra. This was a large imaging project which incorporated the digitisation of the Hansard back to 1901, plus many additional sub projects. I engaged and managed a key business partner to help deliver our solution to win this bid with DPS in 2010.Account managed, solution designed and commercially constructed the winning tender bid for the multi-million dollar ‘MySchools’ web based Government (A.C.A.R.A.) reporting site.
