As a Legacy Planning Officer at Archdiocese of Omaha, I have been responsible for increasing major support for the Archbishop’s Annual Appeal and matching donor interests with critical archdiocesan priorities for over six years. I have also implemented a plan that promotes and invites planned gifts to support the archdiocese and its apostolates, and overseen the Living Legacy Circle, a recognition society of donors who have left a planned gift to the archdiocese or one of its entities.I hold a Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy credential from The American College of Financial Services, and I have a background in campaign planning studies, capital campaigns, public relations and volunteer management for nonprofit organizations. I see fundraising as a form of ministry and an act of conversion, as Fr. Henri Nouwen said. My mission is to make the act of giving a part of one's spiritual life and to help donors achieve their philanthropic goals and leave a lasting legacy.

Maintain a portfolio of current and prospective donors to cultivate, invite and steward their support of archdiocesan entities through estate and planned gifts.Implement the Estate Planning Program plan: Expand the awareness and understanding of the impact a planned gift to the archdiocese can make through such vehicles as advertising and hosted events and workshops. Steward those who have named the archdiocese in their estate plans. Work with parishes to implement a comprehensive program to encourage planned giving in parishes and schools.Support other critical efforts in the Stewardship and Development Office: Omaha Archdiocesan Educational and Parish Foundations, Archbishop’s Committee for Development, Stewardship and Development Education and Networking Series, Archbishop’s Annual Appeal.
