I am an aspiring audiologist who spends my time problem solving and improving the quality of life for others. During my previous career as a clinical research assistant in the biosciences, I gained valuable and transferable skills that will benefit and increase my value as a future audiologist. These skills include, but are not limited to analytical and problem-solving skills which will help me reach accurate clinical decisions, the ability to collaboratively work with, and lead a multi-skilled team, exceptional written and verbal communication skills, which will help patients better manage their concerns, and administrative and management skills which will help the smooth-running of an audiology practice. What drives and motivates me most is complex case-by-case problem-solving in the clinic. I have chosen to pursue audiology as a career since it allows me to combine art and science together in a creative way that can further improve the hearing health and well-being of the Australian community.
