About Tony Martignetti
I’ve been working to transform the way nonprofits raise money since 1997.That’s when I turned my back on practicing law — for me, a comfortable but unpleasant way to make a lot of money — and discovered Planned Giving fundraising. Most nonprofits know how to raise money through events, annual campaigns and digital, but a smaller number are adept at helping donors create lasting legacies. By thoughtfully cultivating and soliciting potential donors through a Planned Giving program, we can convert prospects into donors who discover purposeful giving — while unlocking new investments that advance your mission, sustainability and endowment. My Planned Giving journey started in 1997 at Iona College, and progressed to St. John’s University. I created and scaled successful Planned Giving programs at both. In 2003, I was ready to help many organizations achieve the potential of Planned Giving, so I started Martignetti Planned Giving Advisors.Now, 27 years later, I help nonprofits of all sizes create, promote and grow highly effective Planned Giving programs. I know what works and what doesn’t – and I strive to provide each client with exceptional service and support.I roll up my sleeves and we work side-by-side.I’m not only a consultant. Tony Martignetti Nonprofit Radio, my podcast, kicked off in July 2010. I love it! I host 50 shows a year, picking the brains of authors, consultants and thought leaders to help small- and mid-size shops, while weaving in my stand-up comedy and improv work.
