Having bought the rights to use the Rolls-Royce brand, BMW needed a brand new headquarters and manufacturing plant to manage and produce cars. My achievements included:• Managing relationships between the UK based project team and the Munich based BMW senior management, spending the first year with the project board based in Germany.• Meeting BMW’s requirements to have the first cars roll off the production line in 2003.• Leading the project from concept through to completion using a controlled gateway schedule.• Successfully managing the project’s budget, meeting forecasts for multi-cost centres, and planning and controlling manpower. -
