As Managing Director of both McCarthy Bainbridge Ltd one of my primary roles is to keep us as up to date and aware of changes in the energy and building service sectors to enable us to ensure our clients always receive the best advise we can offer. The other important aspect of my job is to speak and visit all customers to check that they are happy with the service offered and to look for ways to improve it to best suit their business needs.And finally is the need to keep the MBL/CSCS team in a happy and enthusiastic environment to allow them to perform to their best ability at all times.

I was offered a job initially as a manager and then latterly as Operations Director at John Simpson Ltd.It was an electrical contracting business, that gradually changed to an M&E business, and undertook several large contracts at both London Gatwick and London Heathrow airports during my time with the business.

Whilst at HCC, I started work as the North East area Electrical Surveyor, after two years in that role I was promoted to Senior Engineer in the Property Services Section covering North East Hampshire and had overall responsibility for all electrical services in refurbishment and extension projects in that area.

I worked at Avery Electrical as an electrician whilst completing my C&G 236 Part L course.I had previously worked only on housing projects and was at a point in my education where I thought I needed more experience in the commercial sector, so went to work with Avery's who at the time only undertook commercial works.
