As Chief Financial Officer of the £70 million turnover Space & Time Media group, I was instrumental in negotiating and delivering the group’s £7.5 million MBO from the Emerge media group in March 2016. Since then I have driven strategy, growth and cash flows and led a second £13.8 million MBO with fellow directors in July 2018.

Emerge Group was a £60+ million turnover, integrated communications group with 220+ staff working across multiple sectors and channels including digital & social media, SEO, TV ads & video production, advertising campaigns, marketing, brand communications, PR and media planning & buying. We have offices in London, Bournemouth, Reigate, Manchester, Birmingham and Edinburgh.From joining, I prioritised with the shareholders and the Board the identification of a core business strategy & plan around which all can unify. I was instrumental in the development and implementation of strategic business re-engineering, refocused our acquisition strategy to ensure only demonstrable synergistic benefits are achieved, driven a disposal strategy for non performing activities, scoped and implemented uniform, timely and incisive management systems processes and reporting and driven greater cost control and accountability which demonstrably de risked the business, transformed cash flows and drove significant improvement in group profitability.Ultimately, in March 2016 I negotiated and crystalised £10 million of capital value for the founder shareholders via a number of MBOs and Trade Sales of all of the group's trading assets.

It successfully completed eight acquisitions and four disposals in the past eight years aggressively growing three core operational areas of Fund Management, Wealth Management and Corporate Finance. The combined group delivered at its peak over £35 million of turnover, £2.8 billion Funds Under Management and employed 150+ staff.Responsibilities included strategic business planning and appraisal, M&A Due Diligence, acquisition integration, change management , divestments. Investor Relations, management of multiple stakeholder expectations, working capital management, capital fund raising, debt negotiation, restructuring and business turnaround.

Six new divisional launches in five years reflecting the pace of organic growth and rapidly developing technologies within this hi-tech industry.Responsibilities included all aspects of financial reporting and governance for the main channel and its strategic media investments, 40+ finance team.

Above and below the line advertising group with a group turnover of £10m, 150 staff and ten trading subsidiaries. Responsible for ten finance staff and all the group’s financial strategy, management, and reporting.
