Cadence Property Group is a fully integrated development and funds management business specialising in the commercial and industrial sectors across Australia. Following the merger of Élan and Urbis I shared responsibility for leading our Investment Management and Advisory team. We worked with investors and owner occupiers in partnership to develop and execute their property investment strategy.

In 2011, I founded Élan Property Group where I was actively involved in the strategic direction of the company and the delivery of all our products and services – with a particular focus on investment strategy, portfolio management and capital transactions. In 2019 Élan merged with Urbis to continue its growth and evolution. Key achievements at Élan include:* Securing more than $2.5 billion in assets under management in Australia and NZ* Advising on $2.2 billion of acquisitions & disposals across the office, industrial, data centre and retail sectors* Completing the investment lifecycle on 4 major office buildings, with returns 2.3 times the IRR target* Leasing more than 75,000 m² of office, industrial and retail space* Completing the refurbishment of a 44,000 m² A-grade office building* Managing the expansion and development of a major corporation’s data centre

Responsible for the performance of Becton’s property investment portfolio, which included 105 properties valued at $2.1 billion, with an annual revenue of $180 million. The role involved all aspects of the portfolio’s oversight and day-to-day management, including strategic portfolio planning, board reporting, capital management, investment management, investor presentations and fund accounting.

Prior to becoming CIO at Becton, I spent more than four years as Fund Manager with direct responsibility for six property funds totalling 37 properties valued at $485 million. My responsibilities also included portfolio planning, acquisitions, divestments and investment management.

Responsible for the research, identification and acquisition of major shopping centre investments across Australia and Europe.

Supporting the Transaction Director’s real estate and corporate acquisitions on behalf of managed investment funds. I worked on transactions across Europe – including financing, negotiations and financial analysis.
