Designed and implemented the human resources, recruitment, and sourcing strategies to support the strategic and operational turnaround and establish a strong foundation for ongoing HR operating processes and programs.  Developed and executed a recruitment strategy resulting in the acquisition of top talent in roles regional manager, store sales managers and assistant managers. Turnover rates were reduced by 75% as a result of upgrading the talent in the management level positions. Developed and successfully instituted policies and procedures in order to reshape and transform the company culture resulting in reduced shrinkage of $54,000 first year savings. Created and facilitated leadership and sales professional development for store sales managers. One area of focus included interviewing seminars for sales managers in order to develop their ability to hire an effective sales staff.  Successfully established and implemented solid customer service best practices and processes resulting in consistently ranking in the top 5% of T-Mobile’s U.S. customer satisfaction surveys. Revised, renegotiated and implemented a revamped employee benefit package which was in line with market and enabled the attraction and retention of strong talent.

Served as HR Leader/Advisor for offices with over $2B in media billings located in MindShare and GroupM offices in Chicago, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Denver.  Led the recruitment and development of senior interactive specialists in a competitive market. Managed the company’s organizational structure to transition from a traditional media agency to a fully integrated marketing services agency including the development of new titles and job descriptions in addition to managing employee communications. Created and implemented initiatives to improve employee engagement and retention rates. Received MindShare’s North America Purple Head Award for contributing towards building a positive corporate culture. Supervised and managed all recruitment and human resources activities for MindShare Los Angeles, San Francisco and Denver. In addition, oversaw HR for Mediaedge:cia offices in Los Angeles, San Francisco and Irvine. Recruited and hired for two major new business wins simultaneously. These new businesses spent 1.5 million dollars annually in measured media. Proactively managed employee development and employee morale resulting in improved work production. Developed college recruitment program which assisted in branding MindShare as “The Place to Work” in Los Angeles with graduating seniors in Communications, Advertising, and Marketing majors.

Successfully managed all aspects of Human Resources for full-service, direct response Hispanic advertising agency which included recruitment, payroll, benefits, human resources information system (HRIS), and facilities. Successfully recruited media planners, buyers, account executives, and department heads including Managing Director, Controller, and New Business/Sales Executives. Created a sustainable hiring pipeline of talent. Developed and implemented internship and scholarship programs. Suggested, initiated and implemented 401 (k) retirement plans for employees with a company match.
