I lead a team of 30 staff tasked with the high security management of bullion. During this employment, I have designed and implemented an extensive training programmes including a programme for vault officers and managers to establish a service that is fully accredited with the London Bullion Market Association (LBMA). I have introduced new and effective management processes to secure bullion safety from receipt to dispatch, implementing high standard auditing and warehouse management systems to ensure excellence in service, maintaining delivery through my implementation of key performance indicators and service level agreements.In order to improve service to clients, I devised and implemented a shift pattern more responsive to current needs, including 24 hour coverage 7 days a week, consistently ensuring protocol and security was maintained. I achieved the best results in employee opinion surveys, voted for by my staff and peers, having achieved outstanding staff management. I also received an excellence award from my employer for having achieved the highest standards in service delivery, including implementing an innovative accuracy process, saving working hours and securing financial improvement.

During this time I established and maintained effective professional relationships with a variety of clients. I worked closely with financial organisations, ensuring best practice around the movement and security of significant funds. This work required detailed planning and organisation in order to move efficiently throughout London ensuring the very highest levels of security were upheld. I provided security cover to protect staff in high risk areas, providing constant vigilance to the presence of gangs or individuals who might be intent on robbery whilst staff delivered or collected bullion. Included in this was building the trust of staff so they could remain confident I was working to ensure their safety at all times.

I performed numerous roles across a wide range of departments. I organised and implemented numerous training programmes including a work load assessment to support the move from a manual to an automated system and other essential technical development to improve delivery service. Through reorganisation of staff deployment, I was able to increase the volume of managed items from 750,000 to 1.4m, creating immediate savings. I introduced a redelivery system for local customers, securing substantial savings and significantly improving customer service. In addition I was a transport manager, responsible for a fleet of vehicles and for the adherence to regulation and best working practice. I managed a staff in excess of 200 across a wide range of locations and, as a workplace trainer, I delivered learning schemes for staff and managers in a diversity of services, including driver safety, customer service, coaching and team working.
