I’ve been programming since I was 12. My first notable project was a custom Warcraft III game that was played by thousands of people.I’m a business oriented software engineer who went to the University of Toronto for Computer Science. I started my professional career at a fast-growing tech startup while I was studying for my degree. I built the entire iOS mobile application from the ground up and played a pivotal role in structuring the mobile experience. The app gained recognition across media outlets, consistently hit top of the charts on the App Store and was featured as Apple App of The Day.I went on to start my own software development company where I focused on helping startups get started. I've helped ideate and build products for numerous companies, some of which went on to successfully raising capital. As with any business starting out, I had to wear many hats. I not only had a heavy hand in the development, but I also was involved in the go-to-market strategy and was the point man for generating leads and closing sales.One exciting company I worked with through my software development company is Rhea (getrhea.com), a UofT backed startup. We worked very closely with the Founder who is one of the leading researchers in concussion. He had a plethora of actionable knowledge on how to rehabilitate from a concussion and came to us to figure out how to harness that into a digital experience. After understanding the company's vision, my team and I conducted numerous user research studies to narrow down the feature set that addressed the pain points. We then developed the MVP of the iOS app to be further tested and tried for clinic studies.My biggest take away from starting my own company is learning how to take an idea and turning it into digestible tech requirements that can be executed upon to help the business succeed.I enjoy working on demanding problems that require an exceptional understanding of how every piece fits together across multiple stakeholders.I work out 5x a week so when I’m not coding you can usually find me somewhere at the gym.
