The King Kong Organic Banana Company (KKOBC) is a successor to Capital Fruits of Puerto Rico (CFPR). While CFPR has developed new, certifiable, organic (grown using only natural controls) banana propagation technologies which, when coupled with the best parts of older banana propagation technologies, creates exciting new possibilities for all of us to reach those goals, it will be KKOBC that will employ these technologies within its operations.

CFPR was a farming company that developed a proof of concept on a 267-acre farm in Lajas Puerto Rico using a unique strain of hybrid banana plants in an organic propagation scheme. The project produced a higher yielding product at a significantly lower cost. It is envisioned that a stage two development of the project will include tilapia production as an additional revenue source and source of nutrients for the banana plants. Penachio was founder, Director and Chairman from 1995 to 2001. CFPR was succeeded by KKOBC.

A regional distributor of fresh, frozen, canned and dried food products serving the metropolitan New York City market making daily deliveries to its customers using it own fleet of 45 modern refrigerated vehicles out of The Best’s 100,000 square foot warehouse. Penachio was directly involved in development of the companies private label program, oversaw the company’s accounts receivable and collection programs, developed marketing and sales programs, handled professional and union matters and was general manager for operations. Penachio was Secretary Treasurer and a Director of this company from 1974 to 2001.

A Tennessee corporation that designed, developed and patented a direct exchange horizontal ground loop heat exchanger, the used in residential and commercial applications for heating, cooling and hot water heating. Penachio was a Founder and Chairman and was involved in acquisition of manufacturing partners, marketing and sales of the company’s products and financing of operations and retail sales from 1994 to 1998.
