The GMRA manages the regulatory regime, including the business revenue, pricing, performance outcomes and reporting to the Regulator (QCA/AER) following appropriate business inputs. The role is also accountable for developing, preparing, managing, implementing and monitoring strategies, plans, policies and procedures to ensure Ergon Energy Queensland’s (the retail entity) goals and objectives in Regulatory Affairs are achieved, and for providing reasoned advice to the Board, Chief Executive, Executive Management Team and other Ergon Energy employees as required on Regulatory Affairs and other areas as directed for both the Distribution and Retail parts of the Ergon Energy business.

The Manager Regulation, Networks manages a group of 7 professionals and is responsible for acting as the “asset owner” on behalf of the COO and accountable for establishing the business framework in which the Distribution Business delivers the agreed financial (ROA, OPEX, CAPEX) and non-financial outcomes. The role manages the regulatory regime including the business revenue, performance outcomes and reporting to the Regulator (QCA) following appropriate business inputs. The MRN provides oversight of key policy areas from an “asset owner” perspective and provides key stakeholder management support
