The first one was an analytics integration platform that would allow customers to directly access their ComboCurve outputs in TIBCO Spotfire. The solution leverages stream processing and includes an extensive data model that is optimized for analytics workloads. It also leverages custom authentication built by TIBCO to support Starburst, which is our preferred data lake platform.The second initiative was designing the data architecture to support an important new feature of the ComboCurve platform that is expected to be released in early 2024. This feature requires a solution that supports both OLTP and OLAP data access patterns. My team evaluated 10+ systems and eventually narrowed it down to 3. We created large datasets and a set of specific queries to thoroughly test databases at scale. I worked closely with all of the vendors to make sure we were able to validate that their databases could support our expected workload.
