Hi! I'm Tony. I'm currently a Systems Analyst Supervisor at Willapa Harbor Hospital. I'm also a student; I'm currently studying for my four-year in Health Information Management, with the hopes of graduating by the end of 2024.I'm a jack-of-trades. My educational background is in healthcare administration and information management. I also have hands-on experience as a ward clerk at a level 3 trauma center. Nowadays I'm working in the IT department of a small hospital. My skills are a bit varied, a result of my unique mix of education and experience as well as the circumstances brought on in working in smaller healthcare facilities. My long-term career focus is probably in IT, either as a systems analyst, a manager, or both. For completeness, I'll note some of my proficiencies, accomplishments, and projects below:- I run a home lab, which currently is a hodgepodge of old NAS and Debian boxes. I'm planning on a refresh in 2024 with some Ubiquiti and Synology equipment, along with a custom-built compute server for AI fun.- I also used to maintain some Docker images. I still do work with containers (my entire home lab is based on them), but I'm a little less involved in actively developing public images nowadays.- I've refreshed my hospital's backup and recovery model. This has involved configuring and testing backups for both physical and virtual machines using Kaseya's Unitrends backup service.- I've substantially revamped group policy structures, including the automatic rollout of edge software and configurations.- I've accidentally found myself in a number of leadership roles. This has ranged from numerous club positions in college, to proper supervisor roles in my professional career.
