The Summer Transition Program is an intensive academic program that provides opportunities for students to prepare for the new academic, personal, and social challenges they will encounter at the University of Washington. Each summer, students attend university courses ranging from biology, political science, psychology to statistics. They also participate in various academic & leadership development workshops.As a senior leader, I was a live in counselor. I planned outside, team building, and recreational activities. My job was to ensure the well-being of each student and to manage a team of leaders who together, ran the program.

Responsible for the creation of a safe, respectable, educational, and fun environment for young people between the ages of 4 and 18 from 2:30pm-7pm. Duties ranged from running Power Hour (Homework time), overseeing/creating gym activities, improvising educational games, and preparing snacks.
