Assisted the Company on a variety of specific strategic projects as the chief financial leader.

As Chief Financial Officer he managed a lean accounting team to produce all SEC-compliant financial reporting as well as the reporting and audit packages for the Company’s lending institution and external auditors. He performed the financial planning & analysis and investor relations functions. He also managed the treasury function including obtaining additional capital funding and renegotiating the financial debt covenants during a troubled financial period, all while coordinating the implementation of the system of policies and controls for year-one compliance with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act

As Chief Accounting Officer he managed all SEC reporting and compliance and the coordination of the external financial statement audits. Through a hands-on approach, he restructured the accounting/finance department and financial accounting close process, reducing the financial close cycle from 20 to five business days. He managed of the treasury functions including an equity funding round. He overhauled the existing SOX system of policies and internal controls to successfully mitigate the Company’s previously reported material weaknesses and significant deficiencies.

As Vice President of Finance he managed all SEC reporting and compliance and the coordination of the external financial statement audits. He grew an existing accounting department of six to a team of 20 while directing 13 acquisitions from negotiation to integration, including two publicly-traded entity acquisitions. He developed the Company’s accounting policies, procedures and system of financial reporting during its growth in revenue from $40 million to $500 million. He managed the implementation and monitoring of the system internal controls in compliance with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act. He also managed the treasury functions, including direct cash management of over $200 million.
