• Built and operated a product design, research and development consultancy practice specializing in early-stage concept development, technology assessment and validation, mechanical design, simulation and modeling, prototype development, and fabrication for start-ups, inventors and entrepreneurs.• Provided R&D consultation for clients including The Boeing Co., Talem Technologies, Love Park Robotics, and private inventors, working in industrial ergonomics, robotics, hydrodynamics, and additive manufacturing / rapid prototyping.• Served in an advisory role as a resident company at NextFab Makerspace and Incubator, and sat on Advisory board for Oat Foundry, an Engineering services startup.

• Lead multifunctional development team of crowd funded startup in proof of concept phase of a novel compact window air conditioner. Was responsible for fan design and testing, structural analysis of chassis components and supported industrial design and product management functions.

• Oversaw product development, architecture, and roadmaps as the first hire of a 22-person $13MM venture funded startup with exclusive license to the Steadicam technology for use in industrial applications.• Led a team of six in the design and MFG development of the G50, G30 Exoskeleton arm systems, the X-Ar Human arm support system and oversaw premarket industrial application trials and human trials for use by patients with musculo-skeletal disorders.• Developed custom application product extensions according to market demand and customer needs within rapid timelines.• Managed an annual R&D budget that grew from $250K to $1.2MM over 6 years, monitored expenses and project budgets, created one, three, and five-year forecasts, and reported to the board. • Developed, grew, and managed three flagship product lines as the principal designer and product manager, developed ancillary subsystems as integrations solutions, and authored 11 patents for the IP portfolio.• Spearheaded a 12-week project with Boeing, Ford, and Virginia Tech to perform an ergonomics study which led to the adoption of the first human wearable exoskeleton arm system for use in industrial applications.• Led the rapid design of an upper extremity exoskeleton lifting system that was integrated into the HULC lower extremity system for Lockheed Martin, produced two prototypes, and secured final phase-based funding.

• Led a development team of six in a re-implementation project for a $3.5M project to develop the cable-suspended robot camera system currently utilized at major sporting events and all NFL broadcasts.• Executed Industrial and Mechanical designs for the camera and transport systems. Managed software, hardware and mechanical system integration and testing and supported in the field broadcast operations.
