Our mission is to replace unwieldy, impractical and costly steel or concrete wind posts with our simple, flexible and bespoke Wi System of reinforced masonry columns and beams. This approach conforms to EC6 design requirements whilst offering uncompromised aesthetic, acoustic and fire protection performance compared to wind posts. The Wi System has been used on exceptional projects such as the Zaha Hadid Aquatics Centre in the Olympics Park as well as the London Stadium. Current projects include Crossrail stations such as Farringdon, Liverpool Street and Bond Street. It is also specified on the proposed blockwork package for the iconic Battersea Power Station project.Our aim now is to secure masonry construction projects outside of London, nationally and internationally. Initially engaged as Technical Manager providing support services. Was responsible for managing the creation of the standard details in AutoCAD format to replace the MAC versions and all the systems for project management, assessment and approval for warranties.Adopted responsibility for the R & D programmes, including the state-of-the-art masonry arch testing at the TRL. Improved the Helifix masonry arch repair method to achieve 40Te capability on weakened/understrength arches. This led to a collaboration with Arup to develop a world-class, non-linear finite element analysis method to assess masonry arches and justify the strengthening System. Achieved breakthrough contracts with LUL, Network Rail and local authorities.Led and secured the highest ever sales order for Helifix on the Harbour Views refurbishment project in Gibraltar, which was the largest such project in Europe at that time. Worked closely with Pitchmastic and Arup on the structural repair and enhancement of the defective brickwork cladding to the 22 blocks of flats.Completed my MBA and was appointed as a Director after two years. Helped the Board to restructure the Group to preserve market leadership in the face of copy-cat competition. Became responsible for £1m UK sales directly for the Approved Installers and £0.5m international sales indirectly. Led roll-out of Helifix System in India and provided support in Holland, Czech Republic and Poland.
