Women's Council is the twelfth largest U.S. women's professional organization and has one of the most successful communication networks in the NAR family. Chapters include real estate professionals who support the objectives of Women's Council and are interested in serving the industry, the community and fellow Realtors.

Working as a full time Realtor in the Plymouth MI and surrounding communities. Chair of the Western Wayne Oakland County Association of Realtors (WWOCAR) Special Actives Committee, also work on the Grievance Committee. Elected to the WWOCAR Board of Realtors in 2006, Elected Treasurer 2007.

In 2013, I sat on both the Board of Directors and the Executive Committee. Our biggest challenge was replacing our Association Executive (AE), rewriting the agreement with the Multiple Listing Service (MLS) and completing the sale of our building. The AE search was done incorporation with the Michigan Association of Realtors who had narrowed down the finalists to six, after completing online interviews. We brought in the final three for one on one interviews. The MLS is made of eight different Real Estate boards. As a team, we work through new by-laws and look at new systems for Agents. Our task force met all of the goals that were assigned to us. In December we completed the sale of our building and will be moving into the new GMAR office which will be more centrally located for all the agents. This event completed the goals I had on my agenda for GMAR.

I sat as President Elect for three years, when our board, was known as Western Wayne Oakland County Association of Realtors, (WWOCAR) The board was set up with a two-year President Elect and two-year Presidency terms. During my second year as President Elect, we began negotiations with our neighboring Real Estate Board on a merger. I played a major role in bringing the two boards together. The merger was the combination of the two largest Real Estate Associations in the State where I severed as president elect in 2011. In 2012 I served as President of the Greater Metropolitan Association of Realtors. (GMAR) My main goal was to reach out to the membership and get their input on how the newly formed board should look, this was quite the undertaking. Our new board covered three counties, five thousand eight hundred Brokers’ Managers and Agents. I did thirty five field visits where Education and professionalism where at the top of every list. I also had the privilege of merging two different Staffs, By-laws, Finance Departments and Committees formed by volunteers within the Association.
