Company:KTS was among 5 sugar production companies whose major owner was the prestigious group of Kim Ha Viet. I was hired to support the capacity upgrade project and steam optimization project at KTS in Kon Tum province, as Assistant Deputy General Director (remote work mode, with site visits occasionally and upon request - mostly during the sugar production seasons), responsible for production and projects' procurement.My Roles:- Assisted the Deputy General Director in production planning and management, technology renovation, capacity and quality improvement, alongside with sustainable development.- Re-structured all the procurement activities from sourcing, technical and commercial terms clarification, negotiation, until getting the contracts signed, tracked deliveries, supported payment process... for a variety of services, equipment and spare parts, in order to carry out the on going projects and annual or periodic plant maintenances.- Liaised, supported all the teams and stakeholders, including factory sections, QC, functional departments, projects’ management boards as well as contractors for the common goals.- Designed, directed, and implemented cost saving plans, aligning with organizational goals.- Managed 2 staff members. Company:VinFast was established in 2017, quickly developed as the biggest and most successful pioneer in the automobile manufacturing industry in Vietnam, with an initial investment of above USD 3.5 billion by 2018 and increased to roughly USD 8.2 billion by 2022, aiming to conquer not only domestic market but also the US and EU with world class products. I worked there in the new projects team, at the purchasing program department, contributing to the commodity purchasing process improvement and system set-up.My Roles:- Supported sourcing and purchasing strategies; liaised with internal and external stakeholders.- Expedited work, and solved problems occurring. Drove 8 commodity teams (105 buyers and commodity leads - multinational teams) to accomplish tasks.- Managed BOMs and PLM of around 5,000 car parts and above 450 suppliers across the world.- Daily reported key functional metrics to purchasing program management manager (Indian), purchasing director (Australian), and VinFast president (Vietnamese).

Company:Aluko Group was a Korean FDI, with around 8,000 workers, leading in aluminum fabrication industry, producing above 84,000 tons of extrusion aluminum products a year. I was the chief manager of all procurement teams and material control teams at Plus Partners Vina (PPV) as well as Aluko's 4 production entities (Hyundai Aluminum Vina, Alutec Vina, KPTU Vina, and ALK Vina) in Vietnam.My Roles:- Reorganized and oversaw sourcing, procuring procedures, and warehouse management at 4 production entities, 1 holding company, and 2 representative offices across Vietnam, for both direct and indirect materials, with an above USD 90 mil budget annually.- Analyzed BOMs, forecasted the demands, optimized safety stock, led cost reduction activities.- Developed MM master data for SAP S/4 HANA and Ariba installation, deployment, thru operation.- Managed 20 staff members. Reported to PPV’s CEO (American), and Aluko’s chairman (Korean - business owner).

Company:JGCS Consortium - a joint venture formed by JGC, Chiyoda (Japan), GS, SK (S. Korea), and Technip (France) - was responsible for engineering, procurement, and construction of the mega-project of Nghi Son Refinery and Petrochemical Complex Plant with a total investment of over US$ 9 billion and a processing capacity of 200,000 barrels of crude oil per day (10 million tons per year).My Roles:- Responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing nationwide all indirect materials, equipment, rental, and services, supporting construction teams onsite.- Collaborated with cross functional teams including finance, engineering, material control, HSSE… to ensure the material quality, cost, and supply flows met the preset requirements.- Oversaw a team of 2 buyers. Reported to purchasing chief (Indonesian), sub-contract manager (Korean), field control section director (Japanese). Oversaw a team of 2 buyers.

Company:TMI was a distributor of heavy machines & spare parts to the major coal mines and constructions.My Roles:- Responsible for global sourcing and purchasing heavy machine spare parts and commodities.- Responsible for distributing the spare parts and commodities to end-users across Vietnam.- Managed 3 staff members. Company:Hoang Danh Minerals was among the leading manufacturers and exporters of CaCO3 lump stone and CaCO3 ultrafine powder in Vietnam. I worked on home-based mode for the company as an Overseas Sales Development Coordinator and I was successful to expand the company's exporting capacity from around 120,000MT/year of only lump stone to more than 250,000MT/year of lump stone, ultrafine powder, and some other sub-products, created a 3 folds of turnover and benefit through my 4 years there.My Roles:- Determined, analyzed, and developed new as well as potential overseas markets and clients.- Responsible for recruiting, training and overseeing new overseas sales teams.- Responsible for establishing business relationship with new clients, nourishing the existing ones. Regularly liaised with each client for contract renewal.- Responsible for contract negotiation, preparation, management, as well as claim management.- Supported the management in client profile screening, promotion and sales policy initiatives.- Managed 3 teams of 11 members.
