I bring over 40 years’ geo-environmental experience to my role as Senior Principal at Tetra Tech Coffey. In this role I direct and advise on contaminated land and environmental projects across the transport infrastructure, mining, property, oil and gas industries.With 25 yrs experience as an accredited contaminated land site auditor (NSW EPA and WA DWER) I assess client sites to ensure they meet government authority conditions and requirements of development application and planning approval. I was initially accredited in Victoria in 1997 and was also previously accredited as a site auditor in South Australia till retiring from the Victorian and SA schemes in 2010 and 2018, respectively. I have particular expertise in contaminated land assessments and management (including remediation), due diligence and waste soil management strategies, and independent reviews (including contaminated land audits) and thrive on providing proactive environmental solutions on all projects and particularly linear infrastructure projects. I have a strong focus on incorporation of sustainability principles into contaminated land and remediation projects and in particular transport infrastructure projects.Recent major auditing projects include: Canberra Light Rail Stage 1, high risk contamination sites on the Woolgoolga to Ballina Pacific Highway Upgrade and principal advisor to Transport for NSW on contaminated land and landfill issues for the Sydney Gateway Project (part of WestConnex).My industry recognition has been strengthened through my roles as an inaugural Board Member, past President and Vice President of the Australasian Land and Groundwater Association (ALGA), the peak land and groundwater association in Australasia. I’ve also held executive positions at the Australian Contaminated Land Consultants Association (NSW). Since 2010 I have been a member of the Sustainable Remediation Forum (SuRF) Australia & New Zealand Steering Committee. I was co-Chairperson of EcoForum 2014 one of the largest contaminated land conferences held in the Australasian region. I continue to present on and author technical papers that focus on contamination assessment and remediation. I’m also a key contributor to the development of contaminated land guidelines in a number of jurisdictions.It is a privilege to provide expert advice on contaminated land and environmental management projects for Tetra Tech Coffey – we take pride in collaborating with our project partners to develop the smartest solutions.
