Supervisor with Childline working within new online counselling environment, Childline Virtual. Building a virtual volunteering environment where Childline volunteers respond to messages from children and young people. Various duties under the umbrella of supervising offender in the community, promoting rehabilitation and robust risk assessment (OASys etc.) to safeguard community from re-offending. Working with partner agencies e.g. police and prison service under the MAPPA framework to ensure violent and sexual offenders were placed under appropriate supervision, restriction and surveillance where appropriate. Attending Child Protection meetings where children of offenders were likely to be at risk due to the behaviour of those offenders.The role also involved interviews of offenders for the purposes of pre-sentence report and attending Court to recommend community sentences where appropriate, but also to prosecute offenders who did not comply with their orders/licences and were subject to breach or recall to prison.
