Tony's first exposure to the field was when he was a student at the Y.E.S. Program, formally under the International Center for the Disabled. Over there is where he met one of his role models, Beth Kotkin, Program Director of the Y.E.S. Program, who motivated him to pursue a career in social work. The next exposure Tony had was at The D.O.M.E Project as a member to the program. Over there is where he met his other role model, Martin Caba, Executive Director of The D.O.M.E. Project, who supported him through his education and career goals. Tony will always be grateful for all of their support. Tony Sorrow is a poet and a peer specialist at heart. He is the founder of Tenacious Poetry, where he combines mental health advocacy and creative written expression as a powerful positive outlet.
