Strategised and designed ELGi’s first IIOT platform for industrial air compressors. Converted MS Excel-based tools to Android apps for ELGi employees, one sale app (Air~Select) and two service apps (Air~Solve, Air~Report). Redesigned ELGi’s 100+ page variant intranet to 14 standard page templates based on Atomic Design method. Designed ATS ELGi’s first touch-enabled HMI for Automatic Car Washer. Facilitated the design sprint for an IoT project. It reduced the lead time by six months and validated the proof of concept. Implemented guidelines for design and project management. My design was voted as the second best design by my peer group.The key areas involved in the project were concept generation, market research, technology research, foam modelling, product specification, and virtual product presentation.

Conducted the Design For Manufacture & Assembly [DFMA] on several sub-assemblies of prototype medical device called the Cytogenetic Harvester, this was a live industry project in which we worked in teams using Durham ‘Post – it’ method. This DFMA method was proven as a cost effective alternative to the expensive Boothroyd Dewhurst DFMA software.
