Tony is an integral part of the permanent BI support team at VRL with a focus on supporting the many divisions of the organisation with their data warehousing, analytics and decision support system needs as a functional/technical Senior BI Analyst.Situated on the Gold Coast, the primary focus is in working with the Village Roadshow Theme Parks division to enhance the systems and applications used by that division and on increasing the capabilities of the end users to leverage the SAP BI suite of tools to grow the business.This role is very dynamic with a large variety of challenging work and a mix of projects and support work including requirements gathering, documentation, hands-on configuration, security and governance, testing and all the usual system implementation tasks involved in rolling out new functionality to the end user community.VRL have some of the latest SAP BI technologies (including SAP HANA) and Tony enjoys keeping up-to-date on the capabilities of these many systems to utilise the right application to meet the business requirements and assist the business in getting maximum ROI on the investment in the system landscape.

Tony has been recently working as an integral part of the SAP BI project delivery team at Village Roadshow Theme Parks Limited (VRL), and that contractor position commenced at the beginning of Sept 2013. This was a really exciting role delivering BW-on-HANA reporting solutions for the very dynamic business unit of VRL that owns and manages various theme park attractions businesses (i.e. on the Gold Coast and in Sydney) and also outside of Queensland/Australia too.Currently he is based at the Gold Coast office of VRL, but was previously based at the Jam Factory (South Yarra) headquarters of VRL, as part of the "Insight" project team, Along with other Senior Technical Developers from the Insight team, Tony was responsible for the technical configuration, testing and quality audit aspects of delivering the dataflows and reports that are involved in the replacement of an existing Microsoft BI SSAS reporting solution. SAP BW-on-HANA (7.3 Netweaver EPH1) is the preferred platform for the delivery of reports at VRL along with the use of WEBI, Design Studio and Analysis for Excel as the end user experience tools and Tony made use of all of these in the newly developed reports for the Theme Parks business unit. Then he worked for the Roadshow Films division to deliver some Intellectual Properties Royalties reports and created the extract programs for the Warner Bros (third-party) software integration solution. Most recently Tony has completed a Group Procurement project for VRL Corporate Division that allows slice-dice visibility and summarisation of the accounts payable invoices across all divisions. This project included re-categorising the Vendor Masters into a custom hierarchy to allow drilldown and summarisation at different levels. The project was delivered autonomously & remotely (from QLD).At the end of this series of contractor opportunities Tony was successful in transitioning from a third-party contractor to a full-time employee of the company.

The HANA Transition Project will saw the latest BI applications (including BI4.0) used as the primary reporting/analysis tools in the AsiaPac region of the organisation. My role as Project Manager of the technical delivery aspects, was crucial to overall success of the project objectives. The focus was on managing the diverse team of consultants (primarily offshore) to bring to realisation the vision surrounding the much leaner HANA/BO architecture and to provide a better end-user experience, a much lower TCO, more rapid turn-around times for system enhancements, and leveraging the latest applications and report modelling techniques from SAP.It was a very exciting project and I enjoyed the challenges that the role provided, and the great team of people that I got to work with.The role at Mondelez was later retrenched (i.e. moved to a different location on a different continent) and that has allowed me to focus on being an Independent Senior Technical BW/BI Consultant so that my knowledge of the capabilities/features of the tools is brought up-to-date through solid hands-on-experience.

With the takeover of Cadbury by Kraft Foods, I have joined more than 120,000 colleagues in that I am now working for the Chicago-led FMCG household name which is a great company to work for and a leader in many of the food and drink categories that we operate in worldwide.My roles and responsibilities are specific to the AsiaPac region and my focus is still on delivering the best BI capabilities to the user community for effective decision-making leading to sales growth, quality, safety, top-tier customer service and overall profitability.This year will see us further using some of the SAP Business Objects toolset and it will be an exciting year in the BI area for me and my colleagues. Already 2011 has been a great year with some really top quality IS projects successfully delivered.

The project to upgrade the SAP reporting toolset at Cadbury Pty Ltd to include Netweaver 2004s (BI7.0) and SAP Enterprise Portal is well underway and will finish some time in the middle of 2010. In the meantime I am really busy working on all these project deliverables.I am lucky to be workign with and learning from some of AsiaPac's best BI consultants.

This permanent position involves the support of a SAP Business Information (BW) data warehouse. We are in the process of upgrading the system to the 3.5 Release of the software which is a component of the SAP Netweaver04 suite of products. I have been working in this role since Oct 2002 when the Cadbury Schweppes business first installed the 2.1c release of SAP BW.I am a SAP Certified consultant for both BW and MM modules and have had extensive training in other aspects of the SAP suite of products.

Tony's responsibilities included both project-related and support/BAU work in the areas of SAP MM/WM module and SAP BW/BI but with a focus on assisting the customer (Carter Holt Harvey and it's subsidiaries) with configuring their reporting needs.Tony was both a functional and technical consultant in those areas and could configure all aspects of Materials Management, Warehouse Management and SAP Business Warehouse since he was SAP certified in the MM and BW applications.During his time at Oxygen Business Solutions, he enjoyed working at Sancella Pty Ltd who were a manufacturer of consumer products as well as the other FMCG giant (now called SCA Hygiene) makers of paper products like Snowtex, Purex etc.Tony covered all aspects of the project lifecycle from requirements gathering to post go live support and also enjoyed being a member of the 2nd level SAP support team.
