Opening a new restaurant location, or transforming one, is like skiing—I get an adrenalin rush from it. I’m going someplace new, meeting a whole new set of people and helping them overcome challenges and score big wins: two of the stores I opened for Qdoba had the highest opening-week sales in the history of the licensing program. When that happens it’s like you’ve just swooped down a mountain! It’s not always record-breaking, but all of the seven locations I’ve opened as Qdoba’s License Training Manager have met or exceeded their manager retention and sales targets. My greatest passion is seeing people grow and achieve their goals. People I’ve trained have advanced in their careers, even into district manager roles. I believe the most important skill I use is listening—asking open-ended questions and not being too quick to interject my opinions—along with leading by example and being adaptable. My past experience includes serving as Joint Venture General Manager with Panera Bread, where we increased sales 10-15% every year. And I started my career at O’Charley’s, a full-service restaurant chain where I began as an hourly employee and worked my way up to Managing Partner with responsibility for four locations. With my family I’ve recently moved to Denver and am looking forward to new challenges in food operations, possibly with the title of Franchise Business Consultant, District Manager or Director of Operations. I’ll be working hard, but hopefully I can get outdoors now and then, because I actually do love skiing (and hiking, kayaking, running, mountain biking, and so on).tvenafro@gmail.comEXPERTISEMulti-unit Operations Franchise ConsultingNew Restaurant Openings Recruiting, Hiring & Retention Coaching, Training & Development Compliance Training Team BuildingTeam LeadershipPerformance Analysis Process Improvement Local MarketingP&L Management Financial Planning & Budgeting Business DevelopmentCost Control
