I was an executive director of JLT Australia’s main Trading Board with executive responsibility for the management of the Enterprise Solutions division of JLT Australia. This role included responsibility for a number of divisions including Affinity, Consumer, Regional Offices, Discretionary Trusts and Premium Funding. As part of this role I was also responsible for JLT’s in-house underwriting agency Thistle Underwriting Services.Key achievements included:• Developing centralised client service, sales and lead generation teams• Re-engineering business to centralised operations platform• Creating in-house underwriting agency to enhance supply chain management• Growing top and bottom line in excess of 25% year on year

I managed and led the expansion of the JLT Sport brand globally. Based out of JLT head office in London I led the team that created a global sport and entertainment insurance business providing world class solutions to the world’s major sporting codes and entertainment corporations.In this role I played a key role in developing alternative placement structures to address the issue of aggregated exposures facing international sporting codes. Managed and led the creation of the JLT Sport brand. In 2002 I led the rebranded JLT Sport business into the area of corporate sports developing a wholistic service approach to satisfy the evolving needs of sport administrators in Australia and New Zealand. Key components of this approach included:• Steering three major sporting codes through the collapse of HIH Insurance by evolving national insurance schemes in order to access global insurance markets. Major clients included the Australian Football League, Cricket Australia, Netball Australia, Swimming Australia and New Zealand Rugby.• Innovative placement structures utilising Discretionary Trust vehicles in order to provide the best long term outcome for clients based on their risk / loss profile.• Developed industry first web based servicing platforms for their national participation insurance needs including club registration, risk management training, policy information, claims lodgement and automated certificate of insurance production.• Developed and launched industry first online interactive risk management training modules for community based club officers responsible for insurance and club safety
