As a Partner within KordaMentha, I led efforts to provide advisory and support to organisations seeking to manage the ever-changing risk that is cyber security. Augmenting the firms forensic, financial tech, corporate advisory and restructuring services with a suite of cybersecurity related risk advisory, incident response, business continuity and operational resilience services, I aimed to listen to the challenges being faced by organisations and government and assist in co-creating solutions which increase resiliency, reduce risk and optimise performance and organisational efficiency.In August 2024, KordaMentha made the decision to discontinue cyber advisory services which led to my departure.

Being a voluntary role, I exercised the authority to participate in unanimous decision making for the association. I was appointed initially for a year, which was then extended for an additional 2 years. I governed the organisation whilst overseeing the operations and performances of the 8 branches as well as perform responsibilities involving the execution of different committees composing of the Governance, Risk and Compliance, Legal, and Information Security. Whilst supporting the management of 6 employees, I also served as the de-facto CISO for the association, responsible for information security policies, processes and controls. As the Director for Cyber Security Advocacy for (ISC)2, I planned, developed and implemented programs as well as managed strategies to establish the reputation and position of the organisation in the information security industry. I lent strong support to the organisation through provision of SME (subject matter expertise) involving cyber security matters.
