Donaldson Brown are one of the most exciting and fastest growing risk advisors in New Zealand. They operate in a highly transparent manner and as a result are successfully disrupting the insurance industry. I joined them on a short term contract to assist with business analytics, process mapping and to provide pragmatic guidance.

Motion is a GPC owned company supplying engineering consumables and components to New Zealand industry. They are a sister company to NAPA and Repco among others. Brands they represent include SAECOWilson, SiL, and HCD Flow Technology.I was involved in a number of ERP and supply chain projects, including:• Project manager for the successful relocation of three business units into new purpose built regional distribution centre (DC) in Christchurch.• Team lead for New Zealand branch operations during ERP (Pronto) implementation.• Team member for design and implementation of WMS (Pronto) for new DC in Wiri.• Team member for relocation of Motion’s Mangere DC to new GPC DC in Wiri.

NSK is a publically listed company on the Tokyo Stock Exchange. They are one of the world's leading manufacturers of bearings, linear technology and steering systems.I led the New Zealand team with full P&L responsibility. Our primary focus was the import and distribution of products to NZ industry, it was a hands on role. I was also a member of the Senior Leadership Team in Australia, in addition I was selected for NSK’s global management college – one of 12 selected annually.After six successful years I declined the opportunity to move overseas with NSK and instead resigned to become a contractor.

Hands on leadership of the customer service and warehouse teams. Account management of select OEM customers.During this time I completed a Post Graduate Diploma in Business in Operations Management at Auckland University. I learned an immense amount and was able to apply much of it at NSK, both as the Operations Manager and then again later as the General Manager.

I bought into the business when my brother was trying to sell it. With my guidance we became profitable and were soon able to negotiate a successful sale.
