Tony is Tencent Music Entertainment Group's Chief Strategy Officer, responsible for strategic development, M&A, investments and capital markets.Tony was previously the Global Head of Investments, Mergers and Acquisitions and CFO of Search Division at Baidu, the leading Chinese language Internet search provider (approx. US$80 billion market cap), and board member at Ctrip.com, China's leading online travel services provider (approx. US$20 billion market cap). Prior to joining Baidu, he was Managing Director of Investment Banking at Goldman Sachs. He has over thirteen years of global banking experience advising technology, media and telecom companies across China, Asia, Europe, US and Australia. Tony has advised clients on more than 50 strategic transactions representing over US$100 billion in value. His clients include multinational conglomerates, leading global private equity and venture capital firms, and pre-IPO start-ups. He has extensive track record originating, structuring and executing complex transactions including M&As, IPOs, divestitures, corporate restructurings, equity, debt and structured financings. Prior to joining Goldman Sachs, Tony was a TMT investment banker at Deutsche Bank in New York and Hong Kong.
